About the E5 Foundation

The E5 Foundation Foundation is a non-profit organization created by Major League Baseball player, Scott Rolen. In 1999, Scott visited The Temple Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia, and hadTo bring smiles to the faces of children and their families who are dealing with an illness, hardship, or other special needs. Our Mission is simple:

The E5 Foundation Foundation works to achieve the goal of impacting children’s lives by entertaining distressed families­ at Camp Emma Lou (direct link to Camp page), our outdoor recreational retreat near Bloomington, IN. The E5 Foundation Foundation also provides families unique and exciting, “once in a lifetime” sports experiences through our community outreach programs, the Hot Corner Kids (Direct link to Hot Corner Kids page). Ultimately, our goals are quite simple, focused, and straightforward… we want to make children smile!

Camp Emma Lou

Located Near Bloomington, Indiana on Lake Monroe, Camp Emma Lou provides a recreational retreat for children and their families. This is a place for the family to live, love, and laugh while enjoying a variety of activities set in the beautiful outdoors. We believe that Camp Emma Lou can help brighten children’s lives, renew family ties, and create new friendships among people dealing with similar situation

Hot Corner Kids

The E5 Foundation Foundation’s community outreach program aims to provide distressed families a unique and exciting experience at selected sporting events. Our foundation relies on strong relationships between sports teams, area children’s hospitals, and community partners to provide families “once in a lifetime” access to some of the biggest players, coaches, and arenas in sports today. Participating families are offered the opportunity to serve as honorary guests, interact with players and coaches, and participate in unique access to these sporting events.
